Hello
My name is Heather Williams. I live in a little town in Long Island NY with my fix it felix husband, 2 feral boys, a spoiled house bunny and 6 chickens.

I love coffee, I find animals quite remarkable, and I love to be outside. Oh yes, I also love teaching. I began painting when I was 6 years old and haven't stopped making art since. I believe art is for everyone; you already are an artist just waiting for the right medium. Or perhaps you already dabble - that's great! And you'll find your next step right here.

After receiving my MFA from City College of New York I began a journey through all types of mediums. After many experiments, working on prosthetic skins, exploring stone carving in the vermont woods, teaching at libraries all over long island, and one published book I still have yet to pick a favorite. So here I am, to bring them all to you. All the joy, experimentation, wrapped up in tiny art kits for both children and adults.
Thank you truly for being a part of this journey, and I cannot wait to create with you,
heather
Classes
Looking for classes? Whether you are a library, local shop or just looking for private lessons I'm here to help! I have curriculum in watercolor, mixed media and acrylics. Each class is designed around seasonal still lives, landscapes or animal studies although I have designed specific classes to features a celebration or specific interest. Classes are 1.5-2 hrs for 20- 25 people. I come with all supplies and students will leave with a deeper understanding of color theory, shape and composition. For private lessons, or small group lessons classes start at 45 minutes and focus on a specific medium.
Contact me with any and all questions, i'd love to jump in!

THE WORK

All prints are printed on 140lb watercolor paper unless otherwise specified. Prints are created in my little studio and hand signed before they are sent on their merry way to your hands. Mini kits are also created by me ( and Dora), accompanying video tutorials can be found under the video page here on my site as well as on YouTube. Links will always be included in your purchase but feel free to explore all my videos for more tutorials and interesting tidbits.
DORA
A cheeky buns that you’ll see frequently in my videos and on my social media. Dora is a holland lop rabbit who we adopted from LI Rabbit Rescue. Though uninterested in creating art herself she does love making my art making more challenging. I hope her antics bring you joy and smiles
